I really wanted to do another page, had it planned but not enough time unfortunately.

Luckily the one you did do is a beauty! Nice work, Faz. Top panel is perfect and Sam Arreola is wonderfully unpleasant character, you can almost smell him.

Excellent page Faz, love the way you've added a mussed up look to your usual clean line work. Sam's face in plate too is a wonderful mess of expressive lines.
Wishing I could go next..... grrr.

Lovely stuff, Faz. Especially the first panel - gorgeous (and "Mildred's" is a nice touch). Good patter too. Nicely done.

Duh, just got that ref - normal I see Mildred, I think 'George' :)

Yup. Took a while to Pierce my thick skull too. Nice touch.

OOoooh Faz!!!! Absolutely gorgeous! has a woodcut hewn quality to it. The first plate is a corker. Nice to see people defaulting to using an entire plate for a panel. The composition is superb. And Arreola is excellent.

But not just the drawing... the dialogue is pitch perfect. Little things like "awww, don't be like that" splash a lot of color.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, after poring over the cracking first four pages, I don't mind telling you I was bricking it. A high standard was set from the off, inspiring work.

The style's a bit of a departure for me. I'm not over the moon with some of the drawing, Sam's very shonky hand, for instance...oh dear. Plenty of things to work on and improve!

Too late for me to add anything original here suffice to say I agree with everyone. Very solid work.

...HUZZAH! Damnnit!

Hah, excellent! I wondered how long you'd be able to resist...

Awesome work!!! I'm now glued to the tale of a world weary (and hopefully cynical) ex-pugilist looking for the (beaut of a ) lady who broke his heart (with a hammer blow, perhaps?). Reminds me of The Killers, one of my favourite movies. And did I mention that the artwork is great? Frank Miller would be proud if he had a look at these high contrast and gleefully grotesque imageries.

Thank you Shubhajit, hope we can keep you coming back for more.

It's been a very long time since I saw The Killers, it's on my ever-expanding list of Noir films to watch.

Nice movie review blog, by the way. I can see how Huzzah!! Noir might be up your street.

Paul PS, you know I don't blush easily but I am now. Thanks mate.

Cheers, Shane, I'm very much looking forward to seeing some Noir stuff from you. Film Noir, black and white and Shane Oakley? Oh yes!
